In these time of global confinement, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, HUB AFRICA has just
demonstrated, this April 04, 2020, with agility, once again the resilience of the African
entrepreneurial ecosystem (startups, investors, SMEs, Large Companies …), by organizing the
Nairobi stage of the African Pitch Roadshow remotely, by videoconference - we are now
talking about e-Pitch, an experience that will certainly make a splash.
The success of these connections could take place thanks to the power of our local network
which includes BDO, CCG, MEST, TiE AFRICA… Among the ten Kenyan startups, selected from
those registered, it is NADIA, YUSUDI Kenya and ASILIMIA who won their ticket to
participate in the Bootcamp (from October 1 to 6) and the Acceleration Program (after
October 8) in Casablanca, during the 8th HUB AFRICA Edition, initially scheduled for June 10
& 11, and postponed to 07 & October 08.
The members of the jury, composed of Delila Kidanu from Africa Tech Ecosystem, Niraj Varia
from Novastar Ventures, Zakaria Fahim, Founder and President of HUB AFRICA, and Denis
Gikunda, Director Lintons Beauty, were spoiled for choice to decide between the different
candidates as the level was high.
This is an opportunity to encourage all participants and ask them to believe in their projects
until the end.
The 3 winners are:
- NADIA, an automated personal assistance which gives access to rapid medical care to
remote users via web and mobile;
- YUSUDI, a learning platform which aims to train the next generation of young African
leaders with general skills and mentalities to succeed;
- And ASIMILIA which aims to provide small businesses with affordable, easy and tailor-
made financing, via a digital financial platform.
